I Replaced That Layout I Didn’t Like

After the semi-crisis that was Version Two and a brief period of being in a creative coma, this is Version Three. I call it Version Three. (Before you make fun of me, you know how some mornings, your creative side just isn’t awake yet? This would be one of those mornings.) Alternatively, I suppose it could be called “What Would Happen if Version One and Version Two Produced Offspring.” Because it does look a little like that, even if I didn’t really mean for it to. That’s okay, though- I’m satisfied with this, at least for now…
In other less-blatantly-obvious news, I’ve tweaked the “About Me” page a bit, bringing it up to date (I’m no longer in anticipation of this year’s fall semester, for example) and played around with the site’s URLs so they actually make sense- now I have actual sub-folders and stuff like normal websites are supposed to have. (I think I missed that part in Website-Building 101. Actually, it may have something to do with the fact that I never took Website-Building 101.)
It still seems to me like people are disappearing from the internet. Every time I update my layout, I feel like there’s yet another dead link to remove from my “friends” list. And the process doesn’t get any more fun. I mean, I miss my friends, and I like having active blogs where I can comment. (Hint, hint- if you visit but don’t comment- or even if you’re a first time visitor- drop a comment! I like knowing who my visitors are and I like making friends even more!) I wish there was still that close-knit sort of feeling that there was when I was still part of the Warriors community.
Now, for the sake of length and interest, it’s time to introduce something completely unrelated. So a few months ago (or a year or so, I’ve lost track) my grandmother introduced a TV show to one of my cousins. Slowly, the TV show spread, and now my entire family (my extended family, that is) is pretty much hooked on this TV show. This TV show happens to be NCIS, which is pretty much awesome. And I don’t watch much TV, so that’s really saying something. Sadly, the individual who seems to be most addicted to this show is my sister. She literally will not shut up about it. It’s getting sort of irritating- two days ago, I bet her that she couldn’t go five minutes without mentioning NCIS. She scoffed at me- of course she could, she said. She couldn’t. Really, though, it is a good show. Does anyone else watch it?
Also related to television, last Sunday, because everyone was snowed in, all the Superbowl parties were canceled. So instead, my sister and I drove up the street to my friend’s house for a masculine Superbowl party. So my friend, her sister, my sister and I (all of whom, for the record, are female) partied like men, scarfed down an entire pan of brownies and a two-liter bottle of Coke, acted like we knew exactly what we were watching (okay, so now they’re lining up at the blue line, and now they threw it, and now they’re running and that guy just got tackled and HOLY CRUD did he just do a flip?!?! and…) and pretended to care about football. It was pretty fabulous. And that is my amazing snowed-in Superbowl story.

By the way, the Warriors community is falling apart too!
Trust me, I know.

Hello! I’m one of those people that visits but (almost) never comments…sorry about that. Sometimes I just have nothing to say, you know?
Nice on the ‘Masculine Superbowl Party’ though; kinda like mine, except with no snow.
—On your sister:
Maybe you could talk to her constantly about NCIS. Then maybe she’ll get annoyed a bit too?

First visit, first comment. :’D I’ve never been one for reading blogs, but I really love the way you write.
I honestly think “What Would Happen if Version One and Version Two Produced Offspring” would be a nice name for this layout (which I also adore).
And I feel ya on the Internet losing people. I used to have so many people I talked to—well over the amount I keep in touch with now. I feel like my number of online friends has been cut in half. ;o; I have no idea where they all slunk off to, and I do miss them.

I added one other question moments after you commented. You always seem to be doing that, Emily! I make an edit before noticing that you already posted. Lol.
Well yes, I cannot even begin to imagine how you would swing on a violin. So, in your case, I can totally understand. xD
Ahh, there seem to be so many people who are not picky so long as it is not rap or country. And I am one of those people. Except, I do not mind some country. A few of my friends, especially those I work with, are really into it and this past weekend I was youtubing songs for my co-workers (because I tend to hang around after my shift) and all of it was country. Some was not too bad. Rap, though, I will never make an exception for.
I… actually think I am one of the people who have a tendency to disappear on the internet. D: I mean, I obviously still keep my blog going. But I tend not to put much effort into talking to the majority of my former online friends anymore. I find I do not really connect with them like I used to, especially since I hardly role-play anymore and that was really what our friendships were based upon. I do have others though, like Ma, Vae, Lindsay, among a few others, who I hope to never lose contact with.

Gee. You had to tell the world.
For the record it was almost five minutes and she hit me in the back of the head.
And there is no way that out of our whole extended family I’m the most obsessed. Seriously.

Hi Emily! I love the idea of a ‘masculine superbowl party’! xD My superbowl party was ice skating and then pizza! xD I also think that “What Would Happen If Version One and Version Two Produced Offspring” is a good title ! :3

POKEEEE
I haven’t been online in so long. It’s rather depressing.
I’m surprised you’ve only had three layouts so far. With your obsessive layout-changing I expected at least five.
I miss the Warriors community, haha. It was… so happy.

@Airi- Actually, it’s mainly been the first one. The second lasted like a week and a half before I couldn’t stand it any more. I kind of hope this one lasts like the first one did, though.

Haha, I vote for the title “What Would Happen if Version One and Version Two Produced Offspring.” xD I really do like this layout.
I never know whats going on in football. I can watch it, and tell when someone scored a touchdown but everything in between is just technicalities, eh? Either way, the party you went to sounded like fun. ^^

I’m a first time visitor!
I really like your blog… (I’m not a big time blog reader, but I like your style of writing.)
Oh, yes. I know what you mean… In it’s own way, the internet is dying. Blogs are being deleted, etc. The internet I am used to, the Warriors world, is in a wreck. Sad, isn’t it? I guess, to tell the truth, there is one piece of the Warriors world still alive: KitClan. That’s where I found the link to your blog, btw.
